Most men fear giving anniversary gifts. My best friend David is a perfect example. He begins worrying about what to give his wife almost a month prior to the anniversary. He stresses out so, just thinking about it. He can’t even enjoy the celebration. For me, the gift isn’t important, it’s any gesture that I feel shows my wife that I love her. I know that whatever I get for her, she will likely love. Although finding anniversary gifts are sometimes a little mind boggling, it’s usually easy for me. With some creativity, your anniversary can become a celebrated, bonding experience.
The best way to get wedding anniversary gifts is to know what you wife likes and dislikes during the year. My wife enjoys travel, so whatever gift I usually give her revolves around a trip of some sort. Before or during the trip, I might alsp give her gifts – around a certain theme. For example, one year I bought her a trip to Hawaii for our wedding anniversary. None of the wedding anniversary gifts that I got her before it made sense until she got the final one. The gifts included a lei, a bathing suit, a conch shell, and other themed presents. She pretended to be pleased with what I was getting her but I knew she had no idea what I was doing and was a little befuddled with the gifts she was receiving. When she finally got the plane ticket, however, it all made perfect and joyous sense to her!
Of course, the classic wedding anniversary gifts work well too. The rule of thumb is that anything that would work for a wedding present will usually work for a wedding anniversary party. Special dishes, jewelry, books, or anything else along those lines. Using the same guidelines as you would for a birthday, normally work well for anniversary presents too. They are both simply chances to get something nice for that special someone. The big difference is that a wedding anniversary present can be something that you share together, such as a trip somewhere. Some couples I know even decide on presents ahead of time. They might get each other the same thing – something they have both been wanting for a while. It doesn’t matter as long as it’s a gift from the heart.
